Trump was examined and found not to have been injured
The White House doctor said that US President Donald Trump had undergone medical tests for the Corona virus and the results were negative.
"I received this evening confirmation that the results of the analysis are negative," Doctor Sean Conley said in a statement on Saturday.
Trump underwent medical tests days after hosting a meeting with a Brazilian delegation at his resort in Florida, after confirming that some of them were infected with the Corona virus.
Fabio Waggarten, an aide to the Brazilian president, was among those confirmed to have the disease.
"One week after he had dinner with members of the Brazilian delegation in Maralago, the symptoms of the disease did not appear on the president," Conley said.
President 73-year-old Trump did not isolate himself after that meeting, saying that none of the symptoms of the disease had appeared on him.
But after a flood of questions during a White House conference, Trump said he would be tested.
The White House physician said that the president had been tested on Friday.
As Dr. Conley said, "I am in daily contact with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the White House team to combat the Corona virus, and we all encourage the adoption of best practices to reduce exposure to disease and reduce infection."
The official advice in the United States says that every person who has been in contact with a person with corona should stay at home for 14 days.
More than 2,700 cases were confirmed in the United States; 54 of them died.
On Friday, President Trump declared a national emergency under which $ 50 billion was allocated to combat the spread of the virus.
The repercussions of the Maralago Conference
Waggarten, the press secretary of Brazilian President Jaire Bolsonaro, posted a photo of him standing near Trump.
The analysis that Waggarten underwent showed positive results several days after that visit.
Since then, other Brazilian people have been confirmed injured by the Brazilian President's entourage who were at that conference in Maralago, including attorney Carina Cova, Senator Nilsenio Trad, and the Brazilian Ambassador to Washington, Nestor Forster.
The mayor of Miami, Francis Sorez, who had also met Wwaggarten during his visit to the United States, announced his injury.
The Brazilian delegation also met Trump's daughter, Ivanka, his son-in-law Jared Kushner and his personal lawyer Rudi Giuliani.
Senator Lindsey Graham, who was in Maralago, announced that she would be subjected to a self-quarantine "as a precautionary measure."
Other politicians have been tested for corona detection.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had announced earlier that he would start 14 days of self-quarantine after it was proven that his wife, Sophie, had contracted the virus.
Speaking to reporters, the Prime Minister said that he was receiving advice from doctors and said, "They explained to me that as long as there are no symptoms at all, there is no need to have a blood test."
In Spain, the wife of Prime Minister Maria Begonia Gomez has been confirmed injured.
Officials said the couple stayed at the Prime Minister's residence in La Moncloa, in the capital Madrid, and they were fine.
Spain is the most affected country in Europe after Italy.
In Britain, Nadine Doris, a Conservative Secretary of State for Health, was diagnosed with the Coronavirus, and is now in self-isolation at home.
Last month, the Iranian Deputy Minister of Health, Iraj Hariri, was confirmed to be infected with the virus, and the minister was seen earlier in profusion sweating at a press conference.
Iran is one of the countries hardest hit by the virus, with more than 600 deaths confirmed.
The virus has spread to all provinces of Iran, and people fear that the reality of the situation is worse than what has been announced.
